Disappointing start continues for 1s, 2s and 3s.

Weekly update on what's coming up for BOE CC, plus results from last week. Full details for all training and fixtures can be found within Pitchero.

Senior Cricket This Week (16 - 22 May):

The Surrey Championship league season continues. Can the 1st XI, 2nd XI and 3rd XI bounce back after the disappointment of the first two weeks?

  • TUESDAY - Bank Blitz T20 vs Nasir (away)
  • WEDNESDAY - Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from the later time of 7-9pm.
  • SATURDAY - 1st XI vs Farnham (home), 2nd XI vs Hampton Wick Royal (away), 3rd XI vs Roehampton (away), 4th XI vs XPSG CC (home).
  • SUNDAY - Sunday XI vs Wisley (home).

Senior Cricket Last Week (9 - 15 May):

  • 1st XI lost vs Dorking (scorecard here) by 6 wickets. Tom Day's 66 helped the Bank to 221/9 from their 50 overs, but the Dorking batting proved to be too strong as they triumphed with 2 overs to spare.
  • 2nd XI lost vs Ewell (scorecard here) by 2 wickets. The Bank could only reach 134 all out with debutant Matthew Luddington top scoring with 41, but despite a great effort with the ball Ewell just squeezed home.
  • 3rd XI lost vs Merton (scorecard here) by 52 runs. Arran Riordan took 3-59 as Merton racked up 189-8, but the Bank's run chase never quite got going to finish 137 all out.
  • 4th XI won vs Alleyn (scorecard here) by 4 wickets. Wickets were shared around with Max Johnson striking with his very first ball for the Bank. Debarshi Roy's 42 led the successful run chase, with his innings being even more notable having needed a runner for the entire duration after an injury sustained whilst fielding.
  • Sunday XI drew vs Merton (scorecard here). Anindya Ghosh Chowdhury was a surprise star turn with the ball taking 3/21 as Merton made 145/4 declared. The Bank chase was a bit of a non event before eventually clinging on 9 wickets down to retain the Sunday XI's unbeaten start to the season.

Weekly MVP - Tom Day
(Based on the BOECC fantasy cricket league points, Saturday games only during the league season).
