Wins for 4th XI, u12s and u10s.

Weekly update on what's coming up for BOE CC, plus results from last week. Full details for all training and fixtures can be found within Pitchero.

Senior Cricket This Week (9 - 15 May):

The Surrey Championship league season continues. Can the 1st XI, 2nd XI and 3rd XI bounce back after the disappointment of the first week?

  • WEDNESDAY - Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6-8pm. Sessions are now outdoors and for the first few weeks will be at the earlier time due to fading light.
  • SATURDAY - 1st XI vs Dorking (away), 2nd XI vs Ewell (home), 3rd XI vs Merton (home), 4th XI vs Dorking (away).
  • SUNDAY - Sunday XI vs Merton (home).

Senior Cricket Last Week (2 - 8 May):

  • 1st XI lost vs Camberley (scorecard here) by 44 runs. Camberley have recently been relegated from Division 1 and are one of the favourites for promotion, but Henry Goodwin's 4/23 kept them to 164 all out. The Bank got off to a horror start and were 19/6, before captain Kit Winder (43) and wicketkeeper Patrick Tice (36) gave the side an outside chance of victory. Alas the Bank finished on 120 all out and were defeated.
  • 2nd XI lost vs Cheam (scorecard here) by 1 run with just two balls remaining. A fantastic game of cricket with the Bank falling agonisingly short despite John Jackson's 48 and Max Palmer's 42.
  • 3rd XI lost vs Alleyn (scorecard here) by 90 runs. Charlie Pockney took a wicket on his senior debut for the club, with two wickets for fellow debutant Hardik Lodhia. Om Vasikar smashed a quick 50 before the chase fell apart.
  • 4th XI won vs Horley (scorecard here) by 4 wickets. Rohit Nag's 4/6 ripped apart the Horley top order, with several players chipping in with the bat to complete a first win of the season.
  • Sunday XI drew vs Stage (scorecard here). The opposition batting was very strong and although Debarshi Roy scored 51, the Bank were never really in the chase. Pav Dhami and Richard Down survived the final few balls at 9 wickets down to claim a creditable draw.

Weekly MVP - Rohit Nag
(Based on the BOECC fantasy cricket league points, Saturday games only during the league season).

Junior Cricket This Week (9 - 15 May):

  • FRIDAY - Training at Barn Elms Sports Trust from 6.30 - 8.30pm.
  • SUNDAY - U15s vs Leatherhead (away), U13s vs Worcester Park (away), U12s vs Teddington (away), U10s vs Dulwich (home), U9s vs Tadworth (away).

Junior Cricket Last Week (2 - 8 May):

  • U15s won vs Worcester Park by forfeit to move into the next round of the cup.
  • U13s lost vs Thames Ditton by 78 runs and have been knocked out of the cup.
  • U12s won vs Old Wimbledonians by forfeit to move into the next round of the cup. In league action Roehampton were defeated by 9 runs.
  • U10s won vs Old Wimbledonians by 41 runs for their first ever hardball victory for the club.
  • U9s lost vs Old Wimbledonians by 28 runs in their first ever match for the club.
