Overnight tourists and day trippers welcome.

All members of the club are invited to sign up for the club's annual Kent tour in June. Three great games of cricket at delightful grounds among friends on both sides - what's not to like?

What’s it all about?

The annual Kent tour has been ongoing since 1923, and we have been playing one of the oppositions, Marden, since 1935. Accommodation is available for those who want the full experience, but day trippers are also very welcome if that fits better around work life. We can help arrange transport for anyone who needs a lift from a nearby train station too.

What’s the itinerary?

Sunday 19th June evening has overnight accommodation available at the Royal Oak in Hawkhurst.

Monday 20th June kicks off the playing side of things with an all day game (12pm start) at Marden. The venue is top class and reminiscent of the old Bank Sports Centre pitches at their finest. The day also incudes a fantastic lunch, whilst the opposition tend to be pretty strong. Our chief aim this year is to prevent their skipper making a third consecutive ton against us!

Tuesday 21st June is hosted by Leeds and Broomfield with an afternoon game (2pm start), usually 40 overs. The ground is incredibly scenic with the castle in the background and the tea is great. The oppo often feature some Kent age group players, and Richard Down dismissed both sons of a former England player back in 2019. Tom Viegas' 146 not out was useful too...

Wednesday 22nd June sees us travel to Sevenoaks & Wednesday, with another afternoon game (2pm start), probably timed. The ground is in a lovely rural setting at St Lawrence and represents village cricket superbly.
