The Grand National is one of the most famous horse races in the world and is scheduled for Saturday 9th April at 5.15pm. 40 runners, 30 jumps and 10 minutes of tension...it's almost as exciting as being 9 wickets down with 1 run still needed.

The BOECC Grand National Sweepstake gives you the chance to win some money, plus raise some vital funds for the club. The deadline for entering is Thursday 7th April.

How does it work?

Head to the shop section of the site here to purchase your £10 entry. You can enter as many times as you like on behalf of both yourself and friends / family. The money raised will be split between a prize structure and and funds towards the club.

What are the prizes?

If all 40 slots are taken the prize structure will be:

Winner - £150
Runner Up - £30
Third Place - £20
Fourth Place - £10

This may be adjusted slightly depending on the number of entrants.

Richard Kendall was certainly happy last year when taking home the big prize thanks to Minella Times, just ahead of Peter Andrews and Max Palmer.

What happens next?

Once all entries have been confirmed, a random generator will be used to assign a horse to each entry. This will be communicated to all in advance of the race, so you can cheer on your horse(s) as all the drama unfolds.
