Step 4 of the ECB plan for cricket.

The ECB have released the latest set of guidelines (see here) for Step 4 of cricket within England after the 19th July changes.

It is strongly encouraged that clubs continue to practice social distancing and still follow previous regulations e.g. continuing to sanitise the ball etc. As we have already seen recently, the more we minimise "close contact", the safer we will all be and there is less chance of us having to cancel games for covid related reasons.

With that in mind:

Oberon Playing Fields

  1. Changing rooms are now permitted to a maximum of 6 people at any one time. We strongly encourage players to use common sense and to continue changing outside if need be.
  2. Showers are also now permitted and are naturally limited by having individual cubicles. Please remember that we have to clean up after ourselves and return to "as found" condition.
  3. Teas will remain as "bring your own". We may look to trial "proper" teas in a couple of test events later in the season.
  4. Indoor Hospitality will continue to NOT be allowed. We ask that everyone remains outside as much as possible.

Barn Elms Sports Centre

  1. Changing rooms are NOT yet allowed. This is a decision of BESC, rather than BOE CC.
  2. Showers are also NOT yet permitted. Again this a decision of BESC rather than BOE CC
  3. Teas will remain as "bring your own".

Away Grounds

You will be advised if any away grounds have amended their rules. Please assume that all previous rules remain unless told otherwise.

Please note that all restrictions are subject to review and may change at short notice!
