1. Junior Cricket

For full details, please see our 2023 member's handbook here.

Overview

The junior section of the club was started in 1993, thanks to the inspiration and enthusiasm of Barry Brown. What began with just a handful of young cricketers has grown into a thriving club with over 150 members aged between 5 and 18.

Our aims are simple. We want to encourage youngsters to enjoy playing cricket, refine their skills in a safe environment, and develop quality players who want to progress from the junior section into the senior teams of BOECC and beyond.

We enter teams in various age groups into competitions within the Surrey Junior Championship.

For details on membership please see here.

Summer Training

Summer training is included in the annual subscription cost and sessions are run by our highly qualified coaching team, led by Ian Hussain. Training is held every Friday evening from the end of April to mid July at Barn Elms Sports Trust (SW13 9SA).

Winter Training

During the off season we offer additional coaching throughout the winter and spring. This is normally held on Saturday afternoons at Shene Sports Centre (SW14 8RG).
